Indian Laburnum (Casia fistula) [سﺎﺘﻠﻣا (Amaltas)]

It can be planted for the restoration of degraded lands and restoration of woodland. It is a medium tree with a maximum height of 20 meters. It is a medicinal tree with the advantage of flowering and fast-growing. The tree can withstand a moderate amount of shade, is drought resistant, but is not frost hardy.

Himalayan Cedar (Cedrus deodara) [رﺎ�د / رادﻮﻳد (Deodar / Devdar)] Family - Pinaceae (pine family)

The pine family includes many of the well-known conifers. They are gymnosperms (cone-bearing seed plants). The deodar is a well-known high mountain tree, and it grows in a wide range of high Himalayan habitats. It is an important timber tree. Its best growth is achieved in deep soils. Flame Tree / Corky Coral Tree (Erythrina suberosa)[ت�� ﻞگ (Gul e Nishter)] Grown as a hedge plant or shade tree. They generally fix atmospheric nitrogen and have nutrient-rich leaves that make an excellent soil-enriching mulch. Often have open crowns that do not overly restrict light, and are also often quite thorny. Used as living fences to provide boundaries and livestock-proof hedges.

Indian Gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica) [ﮧﻠﻣآ (Amla)]

Amla is commonly known as Indian gooseberry or Nelli. It is known for its high medicinal properties. Its fruits are used for preparing various drugs, as well as to cure different diseases. Amla is used in shampoo and many food items like jellies, pickles, etc. it is a small tree with a maximum height of 18 meters.

Arjun Tree (Terminalia arjuna) [ﻦﺟرا (Arjun)] Known for its medicinal uses, the Terminalia arjuna is planted near wells as its roots are believed to purify and cool the water in those wells. It helps to reduce soil erosion on the river and stream banks through its root mass. The maximum height of this tree is almost 30 meters.

Nimtree / Indian Lilac (Azadirachta indica) [ﻢ�ﻧ (Neem)] It has many uses in various types of medicines. It cleans the air and provides oxygen even at night. It is very helpful in conserving water. Plants can grow under its shade.

North Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia sissoo) [مﺷﯾﺷَ (Sheesham)] It has medicinal uses. It is used as a windbreak and shelterbelt and as a shade tree in intercropping of orchards, mango, tea, and coffee plantations. It is commonly used for erosion control and soil stabilization along stream and river banks. It is also valued for its ability to increase soil fertility through nitrogen fixation and is intercropped for these reasons as well.

Mountain Ebony (Bauhinia malabarica) [رﺎﻨﭽﮐ (Kachnar)] It is a popular ornamental tree and its flowers are used as an ingredient in many Indian and Pakistani recipes. It is also used in traditional medicine to cure asthma, ulcers, and digestive problems. It is a multipurpose tree that is planted along highways for the atmosphere and soil pollution safety in Pakistan.

Mango (Mangifera indica) [مآ (Aam)] Mango trees provide fruit, firewood, poles, organic matter for soil amendment, living fence posts, shade, soil conservation, and cattle feed (the rotting fruits). Wealthy and poor households managed mango trees in the same way. In medicinal uses, the slender branches are used as toothbrushes to treat toothache. The flowers are used to repel mosquitoes.
