An Introduction to SavePlanetEarth

"SavePlanetEarth" (SPE) is a dedicated organization committed to combating the impact of global warming and climate change. With reference to the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties held in Glasgow, UK from 31st October to 13th November 2021, the organization emphasizes the critical need to reduce global temperatures by 1.5°C. In line with this, SPE is actively encouraging businesses and other entities to work towards achieving this target.

Additionally, SPE is leading efforts to drive a systemic shift towards a "Low-Carbon Economy" on a global scale.

GLOBAL PRESENCE OF SPE

SPE has undertaken projects of varying sizes and geographic locations from around the world, leveraging advanced technology to effectively manage and monitor them. Presently, SPE is operating nurseries in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives while also expanding its footprint to cover additional countries in South America, as well as Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, China, KSA, UAE, and Africa. Through these efforts, SPE continues to broaden its reach on a daily basis.

To summarize, we:

Specialized in the development and implementation of nature-based and ecological projects for third-party entities, which may include initiatives related to planting trees, renewable resources, and other similar initiatives. Our approach involves adhering to rigorous carbon standards, supported by comprehensive Project Documentation and Monitoring that extends throughout the project's lifespan and beyond.

Utilize ISO standards to calculate the carbon footprint and GHG protocol emissions of individuals and organizations by establishing everyday habits/patterns as a baseline for estimating their carbon emissions. This provides a reference point for identifying and curbing habits/patterns that contribute to high emissions. This service is also extended to third parties.

Provide Eco Labeling and Global Warming Potential (GWP) assessments to help consumers make eco-friendly choices by cross-referencing products, such as appliances, to identify those with lower carbon footprints.

Offer guidance and education to help organizations reduce their carbon footprint through lean processing and manufacturing practices.

Generate and sell certified carbon credits in the open carbon market by engaging in carbon sequestration projects. The proceeds from the sale of these credits will fund additional sequestration projects.

Provide a blockchain-based carbon credit platform for the sale of carbon credits, including NFTS.

Develop and promote the Planetary Carbon Standard (PCS), a simplified carbon standard accessible to anyone interested in carbon sequestration practices.

Establish an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework to help stakeholders understand an organization's management of risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and governance criteria.

Services

  • Provide comprehensive training on the ISO 14064-1:2018 international standard to interested parties.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of supply chains to identify both "Direct" and "Indirect" sources of emissions.

  • Offer guidance for quantifying relevant emissions based on identified sources.

  • Develop GHG manuals, procedures, and carbon inventory reports to enable effective management and monitoring of emissions.

  • Identify viable strategies for reducing emissions and provide guidance on setting emissions reduction targets.

SPE has implemented its One Smart Management System, which incorporates all three internationally recognized systems and certifications, namely ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2018 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety. This integrated approach streamlines documentation, saves time, and enhances efficiency by establishing shared objectives that drive organizational success.

AIM AND OBJECTIVE

SPE is committed to the conversion of atmospheric carbon into soil carbon through the establishment of natural forests, thereby rebuilding the "Soil Carbon Sponge" to combat desertification, poverty, and reverse climate change. To achieve this, we have set up nurseries in various parts of the world and employ water conservation techniques such as the "Rainwater Harvesting System" to reduce production costs and minimize carbon footprint.

Our nurseries produce saplings, plants, and seed balls tailored to the specific requirements of different planting sites, taking into account the climate, plant type, rainfall, and soil type.

Our technical experts provide guidance to nursery staff on the most appropriate methods to use for different plant types and planting sites.

SPE has chosen Sri Lanka for its "100 million Tree Planting Program" due to the country's high biodiversity and rich ecosystems, which allows for planting trees of various species in a multilayer approach that maximizes land usage and creates a dense forest. Our forests consist of plants belonging to the Leguminosae family, which enrich the soil by fixing nitrogen through their symbiotic root systems. Once the plants are mature, the forest can sustain itself with minimal maintenance, as the country has abundant rainfall and sufficient groundwater resources.

SPE is committed to creating positive impacts on society through our tree planting projects. We believe that such projects can have a significant positive impact, not only on the environment but also on society. Some of the benefits that SPE aims to bring through our tree planting initiatives include:

  • Environmental Benefits: Trees are crucial for maintaining a healthy environment. They absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen, which helps reduce the impact of greenhouse gases on the climate. Trees also help in preventing soil erosion, conserving water, and providing habitat for wildlife.

  • Economic Benefits: Tree planting projects can create jobs and stimulate local economies. They can provide a source of income for communities through the sale of forest products such as fruits, and nuts harvested without damaging the ecosystem. Additionally, tree planting can help mitigate the impacts of climate change on agriculture, which can result in crop failures and food shortages.

  • Social Benefits: Tree planting projects can bring people together and foster a sense of community. They can provide opportunities for education, recreation, and cultural activities. By involving local communities in our tree planting initiatives, we aim to build social capital and create a sense of ownership and pride in the local environment.

Overall, SPE believes that tree planting projects have the potential to create significant positive impacts on society, and we are committed to working towards this goal.
